Travelling all the way from bonny Scotland we are delighted to welcome the Kev Howell band to Festival 8. Clan Dextine doesn't need much introduction. He has been performing at F8 since it's first edition. He specializes in bass heavy remakes of the great styles of yesteryear (namely swing, blues, rock’n’roll, funk, ska, and more) and flows smoothly through all those genres in his sets. To give matters a further personal twist he regularly spices his mixes up with celebrated ethnic influences, the likes of balkanesrque and arabesque beats. Expect to be taken on a genre-hopping journey through bass and time! Best advice here is to have your dancing shoes at the ready! https://soundcloud.com/clandextine/clan-dextine-gold-dust-for-the-ravers-mix-illuminaughty-promo
They caused such a reaction last year that we had to have them back...... plus it was these guys that made the fab video for us. After blowing the barn doors off last year Dead Happy make their triumphant return this year to the headline slot in the Barn on Saturday night! The electronic trio are appearing at several festivals this year including Boomtown Fair, Bearded Theory and of course Festival8 to name a few. Their brand of Freaky Disco Metal can best be described as a cross between Electric Six and System Of A Down and the band

Every year we have had more and more requests for people to come on the Thursday to either set up their tents or just have a bit of extra time to land and get in to the festival vibe. Last year we had so many people that it caused us a few extra logistical problems so we had to take one of 2 options; either not allow anyone or set up a Thursday ticket to allow for the additional planning and costs. We have decided on the latter. You can buy an advanced ticket from Brown paper tickets for
We are delighted to welcome to the Big top as our Friday Night headliners The Activators..... our biggest band this year with 11 members it promises to be a full sound and its lovely that some of them are form Lincs! The Activators are an 11-piece band whose eclectic style transcends Ska, Reggae, Celtic, Punk and Dub, even venturing into Balkan folk and Tango! Their energy, style and liking for utter mayhem have led to them becoming regulars on the live music circuit in the UK and in Europe. As an audience member screamed at one of their most
Here at Festival8, we like to expand our senses. So this year we are offering an unique opportunity to use sight. Starting on Friday painted stones will be hidden around the site. If you look you will see. They may be in the toilet block, on the stage, in the woods, in the restaurant area, in the playhouses, balancing on a post. However, they will not be in any restricted area, or under something, or in a dangerous to get to position. On Saturday we are throwing this open just to the young ones. That's right a giant hide
Headlining Festival 8, in the prime spot straight after all the fire fun, we have a band with over 32 million hits on one of their songs on youtube.
