Swing Dance Class with Boston Jive

With the Headliners Electric Swing Circus, we thought we’d help you learn a few dance moves to try out on Saturday night.  Come and join in this FREE, family friendly class on Saturday afternoon in the Big Top with a pair of renowned Lincolnshire Swing Dace teachers.

Boston Jive is run by Claire & Neil Seabrook and is a popular class for both beginners and improvers who want to jive and keep fit in a fun a friendly atmosphere. Claire & Neil teach in five locations throughout the week, to ages ranging from 16-80 and run popular monthly dances showcasing great rock n roll/jive bands and teach/dance at public displays.

They love anything and everything to do with the 40s and 50s and Claire has previously been a film extra in TV films based in the 50’s era.

Both originally from London, Claire has over 25 years of jive dance experience and Neil has learnt more recently, now jiving for two years. They have lived in Lincolnshire for 15 years and they have loved building Boston Jive together over the past two years, seeing it go from strength to strength.

Claire herself learnt at only 13 when she was taught at London’s prestigious Maddy’s Jiving School and she has loved the dance ever since!

The benefits of learning to jive are more than just having fun! It is great cardio exercise, as well as working all the muscles, some of which you might not use on a day to day basis. It promotes good co-ordination and improves the memory at the same time. Apart from the many health benefits jive dancing brings it is also a wonderful social activity for all ages and a way to make new friends.
