Treehouse Outdoor Education

13055587_10154132245098615_736438988643533573_nFestival 8 prides itself on offering plenty of things for children of all ages to join in with and have fun.  This year we are delighted to welcome Treehouse Outdoor Education who will be running a delightful space for children from toddlers to 12’s.

Treehouse’s mission is to reconnect children to nature, to play and create from natural resources and environmental education.
We run forest school sessions, nature clubs and teach food growing in schools.
The treehouse kids area at festival 8 will include a story telling tipi, a workshop shelter and a craft tent.  All set close by to the tree swings, sand pits and fairy houses.
We aim to be as green as possible using only natural resources and recycled materials.
Ages, we will be providing activities for upto 12 years, a mud kitchen for toddlers.
At festival 8 we will be  running a Craft area; making dream catchers, animals on sticks, garden and woodland decorations, leaf printing and general painting and drawing.

Story telling tent; magical stories read throughout the festival.
Workshop Tent; Making paper from nature, Wooden planes and other toys, musical instrument making, wildflower head garlands, nature identification walk, making tiny fairy houses.
Little ones; muds kitchen for making mud pies, sand pits, fairy houses
Parade; we’ll be making a giant piece as children come and go, costumes for the parade and lots of earth inspired things to hold and shake.
