Vinyl Sunday

vinyl-saturday (1)

The woodland stage will play host to RoomTwo on the Sunday who will be offering a wide range of quality sounds and entertainment. Starting with an early morning Yoga class, with a RoomTwo twist, which leads onto a host of other acts including some acoustic performances, a bit of comedy, dj workshop for the kids and a very special Vinyl Saturday except this time its on a Sunday.

The special Festival 8 Vinyl Sunday invites you all to come along and get involved. We want your Vinyl! The more diverse the better. Its not about the mixing or the DJ’ing skills its all about the music. You will get 25 minutes to play the very best, the strangest, the rarest, or just some music that you treasure and means something to you. It doesn’t matter if you are a turntable scratch master or have never touched a mixer before in your life. We want to hear everything from Bluegrass to Techno, 80’s pop to a bit of soul. Any genre allowed.

But there are rules!!!

You play for strictly 25 minutes: 25 minutes is a very short space of  time to select your favourite records, so choose wisely.

Your records must be written down on paper in the order you intend to play them and displayed on the board before the event starts: This means that once you have chosen there is no going back and changing your mind about what you are playing.

Names are drawn out of a hat for the running order: Because that’s fair!

Have a secret 7”: you must have a 7” to play after everyone has finished. Keep it a secret, surprise us!

Above all remember it’s all a bit of fun, just a group of likeminded people playing some records, only this time, it’s in some woods!!!

Obviously there are limited places for this, so please get booked on early. As spaces are limited we will draw all applicants names from a hat and announce the players on the 30th June. We may also open up any spare time over the day for people to play so don’t forget your records.
