2018 Workshops

Wellbeing Area

Our Workshops schedule is fast filling up, heres a quick taster of what is to be an awesome programme of mini events within the Festival – the Wellbeing Area Team have copies of the schedule printed and pinned up so you can check them out, or simply head to the talks tent, pagoda or healing dome and look at the boards for the activities in that space:

Magic and Mayhem: The Hermit Lodge are bringing the Fae to play in a really big way, bringing the play and magic to the Wellbeing and Healing field. They are offering talks, gatherings and activities of many magical pursuasions – their stall is on the Main Arena where you can buy lots of wonderful things, and you’ll be able to join in with Earth Healing, Labyrinth walking and everything you an imagine in between on the Tai Chi and Play Field and to the entrance of the Wellbeing Area right by the house. You cant really miss them – they’re really, super-duper, wizzardy eccentric and magical people!

Yoga, Yoga, theres always room for more Yoga! We are joined by some amazing yoga teachers offering a diverse range of forms of yoga, you can find a yoga class in the Talks tent, although weather permitting we will be enjoying Yoga out in the elements too on the Tai Chi and Play Field. There will be a dedicated family and childrens Yoga class every morning in the Earthbound Misifts Workshop space on the Main Arena too. If (like me) you are a yoga novice, or if you have an old injury/pain, or have a little one tagging along do chat with the yoga teachers before their classes as they are all very professional, and work to the strengths and pace of the whole class, they will tailor the instruction to ensure you are safe to join in.

Henna: Jelli Nelli are having a stall offering henna and face painting in the main arena and their workshop is in the Healing Dome on the Tai Chi and Play Field withing the Wellbeing Area, get your festival henna on and look fabulous all weekend!

Fire in the Belly and Natural Foraging: Owen is back by popular demand! offering two workshops, one on nutrution titled Fire in the Belly (cant wait to join this one!) nutrition is the cornerstone of health and this guy can tell you all about it! Last year Owen delivered a fab workshop on food and mood, the link between what you eat/how you eat and how you feel – its fascinating to think you can actually begin to treat emotional issues with your diet. Foraging around the farm is awesome too, he had s large group of people all totally immersed and loving learning about natural foraging.

Goddess Tea Party (ALL welcome, this isnt just for the ladies but is hosted by some incredible women who  have exquisite feminine  energy): Beginning with Cake and Cacao in the ceremony and peace of the Pagoda, and culminating in dancing the night away in a high vibe set in the Main Stage by the incredible Gayatri Beegan. While we have a slice of delicious fruit cake and drink our hand crafted teas we will be sharing in a space of deep gratitude and stillness, resting in the space of bliss, enojying acoustic music while the cacao and vibration of love weaved into the music works its magic, pulling us into dance, free form movement, laughing ourselves into the full celebration of the festival … and its just in time for the first of the evenings band and Festival Parade – i couldnt think of a better way to get ready for a festival parade!
